Volunteering

Volunteering with a CAB is a great way to pick up skills, make friends and feel part of an enthusiastic team. Last year the Citizens Advice service helped 2.1 million people with 7.1 million problems. But it’s not just worthwhile, volunteering can also be fantastic fun and hugely rewarding.

Citizens Advice is the UK’s largest advice charity. Out of the 28,500 people who work for the service, 21,500 of them are volunteers and we wouldn’t be here for our clients without them. They take on a range of essential roles from giving advice to fundraising, IT, administration, publicity, campaigning and trusteeship.

South Hams CAB are currently looking for volunteers interested in IT, campaigning, fundraising, marketing and PR. Click here if you are interested in any of these roles (enter TQ9 5NE in the search box and find South Hams CAB).

We will be recruiting for assessors in the next couple of months, to find out more about the role, click here .
